This week, you’ll challenge your technique in almost every possible way and push you to discover new, efficient approaches to learning.
Here’s how it works:
Each day you’ll receive a étude with a short practice plan. The difficulty will increase day by day, covering nearly every important aspect of flute playing — fingers, tone, articulation, dynamics, and more.
The goal isn’t flawless execution, but achieving the most in a limited time, and that’s where you can take the challenge a step further:
As Leonard Bernstein once said:
“To achieve great things, two things are needed: a plan, and not quite enough time.”
That’s the spirit of this challenge — you will get a plan, and not enough time! Focus on your best effort each day, and enjoy discovering the music within the process.
💡 Quick tips to get started:
- Dedicate 25–45 minutes daily.
- Normally, you’d spend several days or weeks on études like these with your teacher. Here, you have just one day. Notice technical details you’d like to revisit later, and “bookmark” them for deeper practice. Consult your teacher if you wish — and if you have questions, you’re always welcome to write to me.
- Learn efficiently: take notes, use a metronome and tuner, set realistic tempos, and focus on consistency.
- Record yourself, listen with a critical ear, make observations.
You’ll receive daily emails during the challenge, and information about new challenges, 4 times a year. No spam. Unsubscribe anytime. For more details, review our Privacy Policy.
